Perth Tattoo & Body Art Expo Begins TODAY!

After years of successful expos in Sydney and Melbourne, it's now Perth's turn.

The inaugural Perth Tattoo & Body Art Expo will take place over three days (September 6-8) at the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Travelling to get tattooed is not a viable option for most people, which is the beauty of these expos. The organisers do all the work instead, bringing artists from around Australia and the world right to your doorstep.

Whether you're looking at getting a portrait or abstract tattoo, Japanese, traditional or a black and grey tattoo the Perth expo has an abundance of tattoo artists to choose from. The growing list of artists includes a huge percentage of Western Australian-based artists, putting the talent of the west coast on display.

Tattoo expos are so much more than getting tattooed or watching people getting tattooed, and Perth will be no different. There will be a live band, burlesque performances, tattoo contests and a pin-up pageant.

My suggestions? The Lolly Bus to sugar yourself up before getting tattooed and the Sailor Jerry bar to grab a drink post-tattoo. Check out more information in the What's On section.

Don't waste time standing in line on the day, and trust me there WILL be lines, beat the queues and purchase your tickets online now. Need more incentive to buy them now? How does $5 off sound? Don't delay as online ticket sales will close prior to the start of the expo.

Inked Australia/NZ will be there covering the event for the magazine. You might just get your photo in the next issue.

For your chance to win one of five double passes to the expo, head to the Inked Australia/NZ Facebook page and answer the following question:
To win, tell us which artist you would like to see at one of the expos and why? (can be Australian or International)
[Entries close Monday August 19]
